What is a workplace performance evaluation?
A standardised, comprehensive and evidence-based assessment and report of a person’s physical work capacity conducted by experienced Occupational Therapists using the Ergoscience Physical Work Performance Evaluation. Assessment purpose:
- Determining overall work capacity
- Establishing appropriate return-to-work goals or readiness
- Matching a client’s work capacity with a specific job or occupation
- Worker’s compensation case closure/claim finalisation
- Medico-legal compensation claims
- Total permanent disability cases
Our specialist team
Based in Perth, our team of ErgoScience-trained Occupational Therapists is overseen by Director Jayne Cruttenden and Medico-Legal Team Leads Narelle Barr and Laura Kruger. We have extensive personal injury, medico-legal, vocational rehabilitation/Worker’s Compensation, and clinical experience.
We have observed the varied and often opposing opinions of medical and health professionals regarding physical work capacity in the current medico-legal and Worker’s Compensation landscape. Recognising a gap in relation to standardised and evidence-based assessments focusing on the individual’s level of physical capacity, we developed a product that uses consistent, objective, and observation-based testing to help inform decision-making on both work capacity and suitability. Our aim is to make a significant contribution to the body of evidence pertaining to work capacity opinions.
