Jayne Cruttenden | Founder and Director
Jayne is the founder and director of Beyond Function Occupational Therapy Services, graduating from Curtin University in 2003. She has extensive experience in medico legal report writing and coordinating care for clients with complex needs. Jayne continues to work clinically in medico legal and NDIS fields, leading a team of 11 therapists in Perth and the Goldfields.

Laura Kruger | Occupational Therapist and Medico Legal Team Lead
Laura graduated from Pretoria University in 2008 and has over 16 years of experience in occupational therapy. She specialises in physical capacity evaluations, medico legal assessments, vocational rehabilitation, case management and injury management through rehabilitation. Laura has worked with clients in both Australia and South Africa.

Narelle Barr | Occupational Therapist
and Medico Legal Team Lead
Narelle graduated from Curtin University in 2003 and has over 20 years of occupational therapy experience. Her work history spans the community disability sector, tertiary hospitals and the private sector. Narelle specialises in medico legal assessments and has expertise in hand and upper limb injuries and amputation, orthopaedics and multitrauma, catastrophic injuries, chronic pain and burns.

Amanda McManus | Practice Manager
Amanda has over 17 years experience in administrative environments, predominately in the medical and health industry in Australia. She is passionate about delivering superior customer service with clients and referrers and looks forward to assisting with enquiries and managing your experience with Beyond Function.
Emma Willoughby | Occupational Therapist
Emma graduated from The University of Wales in 2003 and has over 20 years of occupational therapy experience. She specialises in aged care, orthopaedics, falls prevention, dementia, and cognitive impairment. Emma also has expertise in medico legal assessment with lower limb amputees and neurological conditions, including back pain management. She serves clients in Perth, Wheatbelt, and Goldfields.

Mandi Jacobs | Occupational Therapist
Mandi graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2014. She has considerable experience in adult physical rehabilitation, case management, mental health, and paediatrics. Mandi is also experienced with NDIS clients and equipment prescription.

Rama Young | Occupational Therapist
Rama graduated from Curtin University in 2008 and has 16 years of occupational therapy experience. He has worked in mental health, neurological rehabilitation, and home assessments in Australia and the UK. Rama has a postgraduate qualification in Sexology and experience as a Disability Support Pension Assessment Officer.

Ingrid Wood | Occupational Therapist
Ingrid graduated from Otago Polytechnics NZ in 1997. She has extensive experience across various conditions including Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease. Ingrid has expertise in prescribing home modifications and equipment for aged care clients.

Karen Long | Occupational Therapist
Karen graduated from Western Australian Institute of Technology in 1982 and has over 40 years of occupational therapy experience. She has worked in orthopaedics, neurology, respiratory, oncology, and palliative care. Karen also has experience as a Senior Lecturer and Technical Advisor for the NDIS.

Lize van der Walt | Occupational Therapist
Lize qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2014 from the University of Pretoria. She has experience with a diverse client base from paediatrics to geriatrics, including dementia, autism, and muscular dystrophy. Lize has expertise in rehabilitation and functional capacity evaluations.

Sheridyn Graham | Occupational Therapist
Sheridyn graduated from Curtin University with a Master’s in Occupational Therapy in June 2019. She began her career in the paediatrics community disability sector before transitioning to the hospital setting, working closely with inpatient and outpatient teams. Sheridyn has extensive experience in neurological conditions, orthopaedics, disability, cognitive impairment, and equipment provision and home assessment. She currently works with clients of all ages in the NDIS space in the Goldfields region. Passionate about delivering high-quality services, Sheridyn ensures clients receive the best possible support, advocating for rural residents to engage in activities they love.

Kiara Isard | Occupational Therapist
Kiara graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 2017 and has worked in the public sector at Albany Health Campus and Kalgoorlie Health Campus. Her experience spans acute adult general medicine and surgery, hand and upper limb therapy, burns, equipment prescription, and home assessments. Kiara has a special interest in the therapeutic treatment of complex hand injuries and complex home modifications that enable individuals to re-engage in important activities. She has recently started clinical work in the NDIS space and is committed to serving clients in the Goldfields region.

Catherine Pirie | Therapy Assistant
Cathy holds a degree in occupational therapy, completed in 1990. She began her career as a paediatric Occupational Therapist and spent many years abroad in Thailand working as a cross-cultural worker. More recently, she worked in the education system as an assistant for children with special needs. Cathy joined Beyond Function in 2023 as a Therapy Assistant, bringing a wealth of paediatric experience to the team.
